A rainbow is multicolored at any given time--without one true color, directionless; chameleon changes colors on specific cues, with a particular goal.
BTW, one of the tags I use on my blog is 'Bullosophy'.
a person with many colors could also be just an assembled memoirs of the past which was then colorful, now torturing, but right there, in that person, bright..waiting to be savored..
wow..now its my turn to tell u dat i got this peace..earthly feelin after readin this post:) so many colours cud be a rainbow..:)) ok wad bout ppl wid many tongues?;p hehe
Also, 'social chameleons' could be of two types--one changing colors for self defense--to avert any unwanted attention, and the other type, those who change color only with aim of parasiting on others, harming them in the process.
making plans can be done easily...putting them into action is very tough. I'm learning to follow the damn thing called time table for coming two years! Still, I lag 1 hours behind the normal time table every night.. HELL
A very significant post, I must say...I am impressed with its creative observations...although I do see faults(to which you may not agree).
This is the system of interdependency...elephants or lions or chameleons would not survive alone. Chameleons have different powers. They are not liars. They become what they appear to be :) while the notion you are pointing towards is that people force their natures. There are different personalities on this Earth, and while it may not be natural for everyone to use logic to jump to decisions(the feelers), for some, it might be very much natural to do so. Yet I advocate the use of logic because it is a self check mechanism upon your experience induced instincts. Your logic mayn’t always be right, but then feelings are some things which have no visible strings attached! While I might also point out that it is in our natures not to hurt ourselves intentionally, something which I might already have said a countless number of times. I call the inter-personality dynamics an example of a chameleon changing his colour. One cannot be in many personality types at the same time, though their moods/personalities might sufficiently change by meeting a particular personality, hence, I do not think I agree with the rainbow theory, though it reminded me of the polymorphism(programming) concept(the same personalities can have different effects on different personalities(not previously defined because ofdifferences in personal moods)) ... However, not all ppl who reach decisions might be feelers, some use their intuitions too.
Guess I'm a chameleon, wrt a more important characteristic that would be that they reset to the colors of their environment which points to a certain reflective quality. I often tend to prefer one on one interactions or solitarity because I 'feel' influenced or my intuition breaking otherwise. I have worked on the previous factor though, and have been able to curb it at a sign no. of times.
A very interesting post...:D It extracted such a big comment from me! :O
